Your main objective in Spider TD is to defend your central web from relentless waves of insect invaders. Prevent any bugs from reaching and damaging the web's core, as its health is limited. The game ends when your web's health drops to zero.
The game is played entirely with your mouse. Use the mouse to navigate the menu, select spider towers, and choose where to place them on the designated spots around the path.
To deploy a spider tower, left click on an available tower type in your build menu, then left click on an empty placement spot on the map. You'll earn currency by defeating bugs, which you can use to buy more spiders or upgrade existing ones.
Each spider type has unique attack patterns and special abilities. Experiment with different combinations and placement strategies to optimize your defenses against increasingly tough bug waves.
Early placement - Position your first few spiders near the beginning of the path to maximize their attack time on each bug. Mix your defense - Don't rely on just one type of spider. Combine fast attackers with area-of-effect specialists to handle varied bug types.
Upgrade strategically - Focus upgrades on spiders that are performing well or those critical to your current defensive line rather than spreading resources too thin.
Scout the next wave - Before a wave starts, check the upcoming bug types to anticipate threats and adjust your spider placements or upgrades accordingly. Prioritize flyers - Flying bugs often bypass ground units.
Ensure you have dedicated anti-air spiders or strategically placed web-shooters to intercept them. Utilize chokepoints - If the path narrows, concentrate powerful spiders there to create a kill zone where bugs take maximum damage.
