What Are the Rules of Woodoku?
The gameplay is straightforward. You are presented with three block shapes at a time, which you must place on the 9x9 grid. Unlike Tetris, the blocks don't fall; you use your mouse to drag and drop them wherever they fit.
The goal is to fill and clear complete horizontal lines, vertical lines, or 3x3 squares.
When a line or square is completed, the blocks within it are removed from the board, freeing up space and earning you points. The game continues as long as you can place the given shapes.
Your session ends when none of the three available pieces can fit on the remaining empty spaces on the grid.
How Does Scoring Work?
You earn points for every block you place on the board. However, the key to a high score in Woodoku is creating combos, also known as streaks.
Placing a single piece that completes multiple lines or squares at the same time will grant you a significant score multiplier.
For example, clearing a horizontal row and a vertical row with one T-shaped block is a combo. Strategically setting up these multi-clear moves is essential for topping the leaderboards. There is no time limit, so you can carefully plan each placement to maximize your score.

Think Ahead - Always consider how placing one piece will affect your ability to place the other two available shapes. Keep the Center Clear - A cluttered center grid makes it very difficult to place larger, more complex pieces later in the game.
Prioritize Combos - Look for opportunities to clear a line and a square, or two lines simultaneously. The score bonus for streaks is massive.
Don't Waste Small Pieces - Use single-block and two-block pieces to fill in small, awkward gaps that larger pieces can't fit into.
Manage the Corners - Filling the corners of the 3x3 squares can be an effective way to set up clears for both the square and the intersecting lines. No Time Limit - Take your time to analyze the board and your pieces.
