How Do You Command Your Troops?

As you generate resources over time, you can click on a unit and then place them on one of the available tiles on your side of the battlefield.

Deploy a few cheap units to see what the enemy is doing, then build your strategy to counter them. Counter the Enemy - If the enemy is sending out lots of basic infantry, a grenadier can be very effective.
If they have powerful snipers, try to overwhelm them with fast-moving units. Backline Protection - Your most powerful damage-dealers, like snipers, are often fragile. Always place them in the back rows with sturdier units in front to act as a shield.
Upgrade Wisely - Focus your upgrade points on the units you use most often. A fully upgraded rifleman is often more valuable than several weak, un-upgraded specialist units. Placement Matters - Placing units in different lanes can spread out the enemy's focus.
Try to concentrate your force in one lane to punch through a weak point in their defense.
