What Kind of Upgrades Can You Get?
The core of Kingdom Survivor lies in its roguelite progression system. After collecting enough experience gems from fallen enemies, you'll level up. When this happens, the action pauses, and you're presented with a choice of three random abilities.
These upgrades range from new weapons like spinning scythes and holy water to passive boosts that increase your movement speed, damage output, or defensive stats. Choosing wisely to create powerful synergies is the key to pushing your survival time to the limit.
Mastering Movement and Positioning
Since your character attacks automatically, your focus is entirely on movement and positioning. You'll need to expertly weave through massive crowds of monsters, a technique known as kiting, to avoid taking damage. Grouping enemies together allows your area-of-effect weapons to be most effective.
As time goes on, the hordes become denser and more powerful elite monsters will appear. Mastering fluid movement with your WASD or arrow keys is non-negotiable if you hope to survive past the first few minutes.

Control your character's movement using either the WASD keys or the arrow keys. All of your weapons and abilities will fire automatically, so your primary focus is on dodging enemies. Use your mouse to click on your desired upgrade when you level up.
Defeated monsters drop experience gems. Move over these gems to collect them and fill the bar at the top of the screen.
When the bar is full, you level up and get to choose one of three random upgrades to add to your arsenal or boost your stats.
Avoid all contact with monsters, as this is how you take damage. Your health bar is at the top left. If it runs out, your game is over. Keep moving to stay alive.
Game Tips
Circle Strafing is Key - Never stop moving. Constantly kite enemies by moving in large circles to group them into a dense pack, making them easier targets for your area-of-effect attacks.
Prioritize AoE Early - In the first few minutes, select upgrades that hit multiple targets, like the scythe or holy water. This will help you manage the initial large waves of weaker enemies. Plan Your Build - Don't just pick the upgrade that looks coolest.
Think about how new abilities will synergize with your existing ones. For example, a knockback weapon works well with a damage aura around your character.
Strategic XP Collection - It's often safer to clear an area first and then run back to collect a large pile of experience gems, rather than grabbing them one by one in the middle of a fight.
Focus Down Elites - When tougher, larger monsters appear, make them your priority. They can often overwhelm you with special attacks or high health if left unchecked for too long.
Don't Neglect Defense - While more damage is always tempting, picking up an occasional health or armor upgrade can be the difference between a good run and a great one.
