How Do You Score in Hexa Time?
Scoring in this puzzle game is straightforward but offers room for strategy. You earn a small number of points for every block piece you successfully place on the grid. The real points come from clearing lines.
When you fill a complete line of hexes from one side of the board to the other- horizontally or in one of the two diagonal directions- that line vanishes. This not only frees up valuable space but also grants you a significant score bonus.
Clearing multiple lines with a single piece, known as a combo, results in an even larger point reward.

Unlike traditional square-grid block puzzles, Hexa Time uses a hexagonal board. This fundamentally changes the gameplay. Instead of just clearing horizontal and vertical lines, you have three directions to work with: one horizontal and two diagonal.

The goal in Hexa Time is to score as many points as possible by placing hexagonal block pieces onto the main grid. The game ends when you can no longer fit any of the three available pieces onto the board.
Use your mouse to click and drag the pieces from the bottom of the screen onto an empty space on the hexagonal board. On a mobile device, you can tap and drag the pieces with your finger.
You are given three block shapes to place at a time. Once all three are on the board, a new set of three will appear. The objective is to continually clear lines to make space for incoming pieces and push your score higher and higher.
Game Tips
Plan Ahead - Always look at all three pieces you have before placing one. Sometimes the best move involves using the second or third piece first. Focus on Combos - Clearing two or more lines with a single piece yields a much higher score bonus.
Look for opportunities to set up these multi-line clears. Keep the Center Clear - The middle of the board is the most critical area. Cluttering it early will severely limit your placement options later in the game.
Avoid Single Gaps - Try not to leave single, isolated empty hexes surrounded by blocks. These are the most difficult spots to fill and can quickly lead to a game over. Think in Threes - Remember that lines can be cleared in three directions.
