The main goal in Mahjong Titans is to clear the board by matching all identical pairs of "free" tiles. A tile is considered free if it has no other tiles on top of it and at least one of its long sides (left or right) is open. To play, simply use your mouse or touch screen. Left click or tap on a free tile to select it. Then, find another identical free tile and click or tap on it. If they match, both tiles will disappear from the board. Your progression involves systematically clearing the board. As you remove tiles, new tiles underneath or adjacent might become free, opening up new matching possibilities. The challenge comes from the various complex layouts, requiring careful planning to avoid getting stuck with unmatchable tiles. Keep an eye on the overall structure of the tile stack. Sometimes, removing a specific pair will unlock many more tiles, while other moves might trap you. Think a few steps ahead to ensure you can clear the entire board.
Prioritize high stacks - Clear tiles from taller stacks first to free up more options quickly. Look for blocking tiles - Identify pairs that are blocking multiple other tiles and try to match them early. Scan the edges - Tiles at the very ends of rows or on the top layer are often the easiest to free and match. Don't rush matches - Always check if a match will open up better strategic moves before committing. Use hints wisely - If a hint feature is available, save it for when you're truly stuck, rather than for every challenging moment. Remember all suits - Pay attention to both visible and hidden tiles of all suits to spot potential matches.
