How Does Scoring Work?
Your score in Beaver's Blocks is based on clearing lines. You earn points for every single row or column you complete. The real key to a high score, however, is creating combos.
When you place a single piece that completes two, three, or even more lines simultaneously, you trigger a combo bonus. This rewards you with significantly more points than clearing those lines individually.
Always be on the lookout for placements that can clear multiple lines at once to maximize your score.
Strategic Block Placement
Success in this puzzle game isn't just about fitting pieces- it's about thinking ahead. You're always shown three block shapes at a time. Before placing the first one, consider how all three might fit onto the board.
It's often better to use a larger, more awkward piece first if you have a good spot for it.
Try to keep your board as flat as possible. Avoid creating single, isolated holes, as these can be incredibly difficult to fill later on. Leaving larger open areas gives you more flexibility to place the wide variety of shapes you'll be given.
What Happens When You Run Out of Moves?
The game challenges you to keep playing for as long as possible. The round ends when you can no longer fit any of the three available blocks onto the grid. There's no way to discard a piece you can't use.
This is why planning is so critical. A single misplaced block can lead to a cascade of problems, eventually resulting in a board state where no more moves are possible.
Your final score is recorded, and you can start a new game to try and beat it.

Game Tips
Focus on Combos - Clearing multiple lines with one piece gives a huge score bonus. Always look for ways to set up a double or triple clear. Keep it Flat - Try to avoid creating single, deep holes.
A relatively flat surface gives you more options for placing new pieces. Place Big Pieces First - If you have a good spot for a large or awkward piece, use it. This saves easier-to-place smaller pieces for tighter situations.
Watch the Corners - Trapping yourself with an empty square in a corner is a common mistake. Keep corners accessible if possible.
Plan Your Trio - Before placing any block, look at all three of your available pieces and think about where they could all potentially fit.
