How Do You Play Ace of the Pile?
The game begins with four cards dealt into four columns, forming the tableau. The core rule is simple: if you see two or more cards of the same suit, you can click to discard all of them except for the highest-ranking card of that suit.
For example, if you have the 5 of Hearts and the 9 of Hearts visible, you can click to remove the 5.
An empty column is your most valuable tool. You can move the top card from any other column into an empty spot. This is the primary way to manipulate the tableau, uncover useful cards, and set up more discards.
The game requires careful planning to decide which card to move to an empty space.
Dealing New Cards and Winning
When you've made all possible discards and moves on the current board, you must deal a new row. Click the stock pile at the top of the screen to place four new cards, one on top of each column.
This covers the old cards but gives you new opportunities to find matching suits.
You continue this process of discarding, moving, and dealing until the stock pile is empty. To win Ace of the Pile, you must successfully clear all 48 non-ace cards, leaving just the four aces as the last cards standing on the board.
