How Do You Find Words in Word Link?
The core mechanic is simple and intuitive. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see a circle of letters. To form a word, you click and drag your mouse- or use your finger on a touch screen- to connect adjacent letters in the correct sequence.
When you release, if the word is valid and part of the puzzle, it will automatically populate one of the empty slots in the crossword above.
You can't just make up any word; it has to be one of the specific words hidden in that level's puzzle. This combination of word search and crossword puzzle mechanics makes for a satisfying challenge.
Levels, Hints, and Bonus Words
Word Link features thousands of levels that gradually increase in difficulty. You'll start with simple three-letter words and progress to puzzles with six or seven letters and much longer solutions. Completing levels earns you coins, which are a valuable resource.
If you get stuck, you can spend coins on hints. A hint will reveal one letter in the puzzle grid, giving you a crucial clue to solve a tricky word.
You can also earn extra coins by finding Bonus Words- these are valid words you can make with the given letters that are not part of the main puzzle solution.
