TimeWarriors is a strategic multiplayer action game where you command an army through different historical eras. In this browser-based game, your goal is to destroy the enemy's base by spawning units that automatically march across the battlefield.
You'll start with cavemen in the Stone Age and progress through different epochs, all the way to futuristic warfare, unlocking stronger troops and defenses along the way.
Advancing your civilization is the core mechanic in TimeWarriors. You earn experience points (XP) for every enemy unit you defeat. These points fill up a bar at the top of your screen.
Once the bar is full, you can click to evolve to the next era.
Evolving is a major strategic decision. It unlocks more powerful units, increases your base's health, and often adds an automated turret for defense. It also grants access to a more devastating special attack.
The key is to know when to spend your resources on units versus saving XP to reach the next age before your opponent does.
You can't win just by spamming the same unit. Success in TimeWarriors requires a smart mix of troops. Melee units are great for absorbing damage on the front lines, while ranged units can safely deal damage from behind them.
As you unlock more advanced soldiers, you'll need to adapt your strategy to counter the enemy's army composition.
Don't forget your special attack. This powerful ability charges over time and can turn the tide of a battle. Using it to wipe out a large, clustered group of enemy soldiers is far more effective than using it on a few stragglers.
Proper timing of this attack can save your base or clear the path for a final push to victory.
You can play TimeWarriors directly in your web browser with no downloads required. Because it's an HTML5 game, it runs on most modern devices and computers.
This makes it easy to play on networks at school or work, allowing you to jump into a quick strategic battle whenever you have a free moment.
The main goal in TimeWarriors is to defend your base on the left side of the screen while destroying the enemy's base on the right. You accomplish this by spawning units that automatically advance and engage the enemy.
Gameplay is controlled entirely with the mouse. You left click on the unit icons at the top of the screen to spend gold and deploy that troop onto the battlefield. You also click the special ability icon when it's charged to activate it.
Defeating enemy units earns you gold and experience. Use gold to purchase more units. Experience fills the meter at the top; once it's full, you can click it to advance to the next historical age.
Advancing unlocks stronger units, better base defenses, and a more powerful special attack.
Balance Your Army - Don't just spam one type of unit. Use cheaper melee troops to absorb damage while more expensive ranged units attack from a safe distance.
Age Up Wisely - Evolving to the next age is powerful, but it costs a lot of XP. Make sure you have enough gold to afford the new, more expensive units before you advance.
Time Your Special - Save your special area-of-effect attack for when the enemy has a large, concentrated wave of troops. Using it on a few units is a waste. Control the Midfield - Try to keep the battle line in the center of the map.
This prevents enemies from getting close to your base and gives you a staging ground for your own attacks.
Early Game Pressure - In the first age, constantly spawning the cheapest units can overwhelm an opponent who is trying to save up resources, giving you an early XP lead.
