The Radioactive Ball is a challenging arcade puzzle game played directly in your browser. Inspired by classics like Pang, your goal is to clear the screen of bouncing spheres by shooting them.
The core mechanic involves splitting each ball into two smaller, faster ones until they're small enough to be destroyed completely.
The gameplay in The Radioactive Ball revolves around a simple but addictive concept. You control a character at the bottom of the screen who can shoot a projectile straight up. When your shot connects with a radioactive ball, that ball doesn't disappear immediately.
Instead, it bursts into two smaller versions of itself.
These new, smaller balls will also bounce around the screen, often with increased speed or a different bounce pattern. You must then shoot these smaller balls, which will split again. This process continues until the balls reach their smallest possible size.
Hitting them one final time removes them from play for good. The challenge is managing the ever-increasing number of targets on the screen.
While the premise is straightforward, The Radioactive Ball quickly becomes a test of reflexes and strategy. With each successful hit, you double the number of threats on the screen.
A single large, slow-moving ball can quickly become four, eight, or even more tiny, fast-moving hazards bouncing chaotically.
You have to constantly move to avoid being hit while simultaneously lining up your next shot. Success requires you to anticipate the balls' trajectories, prioritize which ones to eliminate first, and create safe zones for yourself on the screen.
Each level introduces different starting combinations and layouts, keeping the challenge fresh.
You can play The Radioactive Ball for free right here on Sonsaur. Since it's an HTML5 game, there's nothing to download or install.
It runs directly in your web browser, making it a great option for a quick gaming session on a school Chromebook or a work computer without any restrictions.
The goal in The Radioactive Ball is to clear every level of all the bouncing spheres. You must shoot each ball, causing it to split into smaller pieces, and continue doing so until they are completely eliminated from the screen.
Control your character at the bottom of the screen using the arrow keys to move left and right. To fire your projectile vertically upwards, press the spacebar. You can only have one shot on the screen at a time.
When you hit a ball, it will divide into two smaller balls. These smaller balls must also be shot to split them further. After several splits, the balls will become small enough to be destroyed with a final shot.
You advance to the next level once every single ball has been cleared.
Clear One Side First - Try to completely eliminate all balls from one half of the screen. This creates a safe zone where you can stand to more easily pick off the remaining targets.
Stay Directly Underneath - The easiest way to hit a ball is to position yourself directly below its path. Fire your shot and then immediately move to avoid the smaller balls that will spawn from it.
Focus on One Large Ball - Avoid splitting multiple large balls at once. This can quickly fill the screen with too many targets. Instead, focus on destroying one large ball and all its smaller descendants before moving to the next.
Anticipate the Bounce - Pay attention to the angle at which balls hit the walls. Predicting their trajectory is essential for positioning yourself for both offense and defense. Manage Your Shots - You can only have one projectile active at a time.
Don't waste a shot by firing randomly; wait for a clear opening to ensure your shot will land.
