How Do Power-Ups Work?
During a match in Tennis Masters, special icons will randomly appear on the court. To activate a power-up, you must hit the tennis ball so that it passes through the icon.
The effect is applied immediately and can give you a major advantage or put your opponent in a tough spot.
These power-ups include effects like shrinking your opponent's character, making the ball faster or slower, freezing the net, or even spawning bombs on the other side of the court. Reacting quickly to grab these power-ups is a key part of the strategy for winning.
Compete in Tournaments or Quick Matches
You have a couple of ways to enjoy the action. You can jump into a quick match for a single game against an AI opponent or a friend in local 2-player mode. This is great for a casual round or for practicing your skills.
For a more structured challenge, you can enter a tournament. In this mode, you'll face a series of increasingly difficult opponents. You must win each match to advance to the next round and prove you're the ultimate champion of Tennis Masters.

The main goal in Tennis Masters is to win the tennis match by scoring more points than your opponent. Hit the ball over the net and into your opponent's court. You win a point if they fail to return it.
Controls are set up for two players on one keyboard. Player 1 uses the WASD keys to move left and right, and W to jump. Press X to hit the ball and Z for a special smash.
Player 2 uses the arrow keys to move and jump, L to hit the ball, and K for a special smash.
Win points to win games, and win games to take the set. The first player to win the required number of sets wins the entire match. During the game, power-ups will appear on the court.
Hit the ball through them to activate their special effects and gain an advantage.
Game Tips
Power-Up Priority - Always try to aim your shots through the power-up icons. They can completely turn a point around in your favor. Master the Smash - Your special smash (Z or K key) is your most powerful tool.
Use it when the ball is high to hit a shot that's nearly impossible to return. Control the Center - Try to return to the middle of your court after every shot. This position makes it easier to reach balls hit to either side.
Vary Your Shots - Don't just hit the ball back and forth. Mix up your timing and aim for the far corners to keep your opponent off balance. Play Aggressively - Sometimes the best defense is a good offense.
Rushing the net can surprise your opponent and allow you to hit a quick volley for an easy point.
