How Do You Win in Politon?

Each turn, every territory you own generates one new unit. To successfully capture an enemy territory, the number of units in your attacking hexagon must be greater than the number in the defending one. If you win, your remaining units occupy the new space.

You can only make one move per turn, so decide wisely whether to attack, expand into neutral land, or consolidate your forces by moving them between your own territories.

Go for Grey First - Neutral territories are easy targets. Capturing them early quickly increases your unit production per turn. Create a Super-Stack - Don't spread your armies too thin.
Funnel units from your back lines to the front to create a massive attacking force that's hard to stop. Cut Off the Enemy - Look for opportunities to capture a territory that isolates a group of enemy hexagons.
This prevents them from reinforcing each other, making them easier to pick off. Think Defensively - Identify narrow passages or 'choke points' on the map. A well-defended territory in a key location can hold back a much larger enemy force.
Plan Your Turn - You only get one move per turn. Before you attack, make sure you have enough units to guarantee a win and consider how your opponent might retaliate.
