Each puzzle in Particolo features a grid of multicolored tiles. You start from the top-left corner, choosing colors to flood and merge adjacent groups, expanding your area one move at a time.
With each selection, all connected tiles of the new color are absorbed into your territory. The core challenge comes from the limited number of moves per level, demanding efficiency and smart planning.
Particolo gradually increases difficulty by adding more colors and complex tile arrangements. Early rounds are simple, but later stages require recognizing patterns and plotting the shortest route to victory.
The ability to restart instantly keeps frustration low, encouraging you to experiment and refine your strategy without penalty. Each puzzle feels unique, making it engaging for a wide range of players.
Particolo helps improve your pattern recognition, logical planning, and color-matching skills. The move limit encourages careful observation and forward thinking—speed alone won’t get the job done.
Particolo is free to play right in your browser at Sonsaur, with no downloads or installation needed. It runs smoothly on school or work networks, making it easy to enjoy anytime you want a quick puzzle break.
The goal in Particolo is to fill the entire grid with a single color by merging adjacent tiles. You start from the top-left tile and change its color to match neighboring tiles, expanding your territory. Use your mouse on desktop to click the color you want, or tap the color on mobile. Each color selection floods adjacent tiles of that color, gradually unifying the board. You have a limited number of moves to complete each puzzle. If you run out of moves before the board is one color, you’ll need to restart the level. Plan your moves ahead and look for groups of the same color to maximize the area you can absorb each turn.
Plan ahead - Always think a few moves forward to optimize color choices. Start with larger groups - Target the biggest color clusters near your territory for faster expansion. Watch the move limit - Every action counts, so avoid unnecessary color changes. Restart if needed - If you see you're over the limit, restart early to try a new approach. Use edge tiles - Expanding towards the edges can help absorb isolated colors later.
