Mancala 3D is a free-to-play digital version of the ancient count-and-capture board game. This browser-based strategy title lets you compete against an AI opponent or a friend in two-player mode.
Using your mouse to control the action, your goal is to collect more stones than your opponent in this beautifully rendered HTML5 classic.
The game is played on a board with two rows of six small pits and a larger scoring pit-called a Mancala-at each end. Each player controls the six pits on their side of the board and the Mancala to their right.
You begin by choosing one of your pits and picking up all the stones inside.
Moving counter-clockwise, you deposit one stone in each pit you pass, including your own Mancala but skipping your opponent's. The strategy comes from how you distribute these stones. If your last stone lands in your own Mancala, you get to take another turn immediately.
If it lands in an empty pit on your side, you capture that stone plus any stones in the pit directly opposite it.
Winning in Mancala 3D is all about finishing with the most stones in your scoring pit. The game continues with players taking turns until one player's six pits are completely empty.
When this happens, the other player immediately collects all the remaining stones on their side of the board and places them into their Mancala.
Finally, the stones in each player's Mancala are counted. The player with the higher stone count is declared the winner. This makes every move count, from early-game captures to late-game board clearing.
You can enjoy Mancala 3D directly in your web browser without any downloads or installations. Because it's a simple HTML5 game, it works seamlessly on most school or work networks that might block other gaming sites.

The goal in Mancala 3D is to capture more stones in your Mancala (the large scoring pit to your right) than your opponent.
The game is played entirely with the mouse. To take your turn, left click on one of the six small pits on your side of the board. This will pick up all the stones from that pit.
The stones are then distributed, or "sown," one by one into each subsequent pit in a counter-clockwise direction. If the last stone you place lands in your Mancala, you get a free turn.
If your last stone lands in an empty pit on your side, you capture all the stones from your opponent's pit directly across from it.
The game ends when one player has no more stones in any of their six pits. The other player then collects any stones left on their side. The player with the most stones in their Mancala wins.
Go for Free Turns - The most powerful move is landing your last stone in your Mancala. Always prioritize moves that grant you an extra turn. Set Up Captures - Intentionally empty one of your pits.
This sets up a trap where you can land a single stone there later to capture your opponent's stash across the board. Avoid Easy Steals - Be mindful of where your stones land on your opponent's side.
Try not to place the final stone of a turn in a way that sets them up for an easy capture against you.
Stockpile a Pit - Building up a large number of stones in one pit (especially the one furthest to the right) can allow for a long chain of sowing that can reach your Mancala.
Endgame Awareness - As pits begin to empty, count the remaining stones. Try to control the pace so you are the one to clear your side and claim the final pieces.
