Try to throw your knife just as the change happens to catch your opponent off guard. Lead the Target - Aim slightly ahead of the open space you're targeting. This accounts for the travel time of your knife and the movement of the wheel.
Focus on Rhythm - Try to get into a steady rhythm with the target's rotation. Sometimes throwing knives at a consistent beat is more effective than waiting for the 'perfect' shot. Collect Those Apples - Make the boss stages count.
