How Do You Outsmart the Police?
The police are a constant threat in Killer.io. They patrol the map and will immediately give chase if they see you run or perform an assassination.
The best strategy is to blend in with the crowd by walking at a normal pace and acting like an NPC. Don't get impatient and attack when an officer is nearby.
If you are spotted, your only chance is to run and try to break their line of sight by weaving through the dense crowd. Using the environment and the mass of people is your only real cover.
Acting too quickly or recklessly is the fastest way to get caught and lose the round.
Identifying Your Target and Your Hunter
At the start of each round, Killer.io assigns you a target. This character will be highlighted with a special indicator that only you can see, helping you pick them out from the dozens of identical-looking NPCs.
You must get close to them without raising suspicion to perform the takedown.
At the same time, another player has been assigned to hunt you. This creates a tense atmosphere where you don't know who to trust.
You have to watch for any character that seems to be following you or behaving differently from the rest of the crowd. Situational awareness is just as important as focusing on your own objective.

Mimic the movement patterns of the non-player characters to avoid sticking out. Sudden, direct movements are a giveaway to your hunter. Constant Vigilance - Always be scanning your surroundings. If you notice a character shadowing your movements, that is likely your hunter.
Try to lose them in the crowd. Use Crowds for Cover - If the police spot you, your best chance of escape is to run directly into the largest group of NPCs to break their line of sight.
Corner Your Prey - The safest place to perform an assassination is in a corner or alleyway where there are no police patrols. Try to anticipate your target's path and intercept them in a safe zone.
