Heroic Survival
Heroic Survival is a survival RPG game where you control a powerful character against relentless waves of zombies. This browser-based adventure challenges you to move, shoot, and deploy special abilities to stay alive as long as possible.
Similar to top-down arena shooters like Vampire Survivors, you'll earn currency and experience to unlock new heroes and upgrade your skills, making each run a fresh attempt at clearing the undead horde.
How Do You Unlock New Characters?
Progress in Heroic Survival is tied directly to your performance in each zombie-infested run. As you defeat enemies, they drop currency which you collect automatically. This currency is your key to expanding your roster of heroes.
Between attempts, you can visit the character selection screen to spend your earnings. Each hero costs a different amount and comes with a unique weapon, starting stats, and a powerful special ability.
Saving up for a stronger hero can dramatically change your strategy for tackling the later, more difficult waves.
Mastering Your Special Abilities
Every hero in the game has a game-changing special ability that can turn the tide of battle. These skills range from massive area-of-effect blasts that clear out entire screens of zombies to defensive buffs that give you a moment to breathe.
These abilities operate on a cooldown, so timing is crucial.
Don't waste a powerful attack on a handful of stragglers. The best strategy is to herd a large group of zombies together, then unleash your ability to maximize its impact.
Learning when to use your special skill is often the difference between setting a new record and being overwhelmed.

Game Tips
Keep Moving - Never stand still. Constantly reposition yourself to avoid being cornered by the zombie horde. This is often called 'kiting'. Prioritize Targets - Some zombies are faster or tougher than others.
Focus on taking out the most immediate threats first before they can overwhelm you. Save Your Special - Your special ability is your trump card. Save it for moments when you are completely surrounded or when a large boss-type zombie appears.
Funnel Enemies - Use obstacles in the environment to create choke points. This forces zombies into a narrow line, making them easier to eliminate with piercing attacks. Upgrade Wisely - When you level up mid-run, choose upgrades that complement your character's strengths.
If you have a wide-arc attack, increasing its damage or speed can be more effective than a small health boost.
