Hanger 2 is a physics-based arcade game where you control a ragdoll character by swinging from a rope. Using simple mouse controls, you navigate through hazardous levels filled with spinning saws and other obstacles.
This browser-based game tests your timing and understanding of momentum, much like classic rope-swinging titles but with a humorous, limb-detaching twist.
The primary rule is to get from the start of the level to the finish line. Your main obstacle is the environment itself. Colliding with spinning saw blades or hitting walls too hard will cause your character to lose limbs-arms, legs, and even your head.
You can survive losing a few limbs, but if you lose all of them or suffer a decapitation, it's game over. The challenge lies in swinging gracefully enough to avoid these dangers while maintaining enough momentum to clear gaps and reach the end.
Success in Hanger 2 is all about physics. To perform long jumps, you need to build momentum by swinging back and forth. The longer your rope, the wider your arc and the more potential speed you can generate.
Aiming your rope high on the ceiling is a key strategy for this.
Releasing the rope at the perfect moment is crucial. Let go at the peak of your forward swing to launch your character across gaps.
Using the WASD or arrow keys allows you to slightly influence your character's body in mid-air, helping you tuck in to avoid an obstacle or stretch out to reach the next platform.
You can play Hanger 2 for free directly in your web browser. There's no need for any downloads or installations.
Because it's an HTML5 game, it runs on most modern devices and can be accessed on networks at school or work, making it easy to start swinging whenever you have a break.
The goal in Hanger 2 is to swing your ragdoll character through a series of obstacle-filled levels to reach the finish line. You must do this while trying to keep as many of your limbs attached as possible.
Controls are straightforward. Use your mouse to aim where you want to shoot your rope. Press and hold the left click to attach the rope to a surface and swing. Release the left click to let go.
You can also use WASD or the arrow keys to slightly adjust your body's position while swinging or flying through the air.
To progress, you must build momentum. Swing back and forth to gain speed, then release at the right time to fly across large gaps. Be careful not to hit the spinning saws or walls, as this will cause you to lose body parts.
If you lose your head or all of your limbs, you'll have to restart from the last checkpoint.
Momentum is Everything - Focus on smooth, long swings to build speed. Frantic, short swings will get you nowhere and often lead to hitting an obstacle.
Aim High - Latching your rope onto a high point on the ceiling creates a longer pendulum, allowing you to generate more speed and cover greater distances.
Protect Your Head - You can finish a level with a missing arm or leg, but losing your head is an instant game over. Prioritize keeping your upper body safe.
Controlled Collisions - Sometimes it's better to gently bump into a wall to slow down than to swing wildly into a saw blade. Use the environment to your advantage.
Plan Your Path - Before you let go of your rope, look ahead to see where your next anchor point will be. Maintaining a good rhythm is key to clearing difficult sections.
