What Do the Gates Do?
The core mechanic of Gun Fest revolves around choosing the right path. As you move forward, you'll be presented with pairs of gates. Blue gates offer positive modifiers-addition (+) or multiplication (x)-that boost your firepower.
For example, passing through an "x2" gate will double your current fire rate.
Conversely, red gates contain negative modifiers-subtraction (-) or division (÷)-that will weaken your arsenal. Choosing your path carefully to maximize the blue gates and avoid the red ones is the key to success and achieving a high score.
Upgrading Your Arsenal
Success isn't just about one good run. At the end of each level, you earn coins based on how many blocks and robots you destroy. These coins can be spent on permanent upgrades from the main menu.
You can choose to increase your starting fire rate, giving you a better foundation for each new attempt.
You can also upgrade your income multiplier, which increases the number of coins you earn per level, accelerating your progress and helping you become more powerful over time.

Prioritize Multiplication - An 'x2' gate is almost always more valuable than a high addition gate like '+50', especially once your base fire rate is high. Plan Your Path - Look ahead at the upcoming series of gates.
Sometimes taking a small hit now can line you up for a massive multiplication gate just ahead. Upgrade Fire Rate First - While upgrading your income is useful, putting your initial coins into your starting fire rate provides a more immediate benefit for clearing levels.
Stay Centered for the Finale - When you reach the end section with the blocks and robots, try to position your guns in the middle of the lane to hit as many targets as possible.
Dodge Red Gates - Actively avoiding the red subtraction and division gates is just as important as hitting the blue ones. A single bad gate can ruin a great run.
