Understanding Your Crusader Units

Archers offer long-range attacks, making them ideal for placement on corners where they can shoot at enemies for longer.
As you progress, you may unlock more powerful units like mages who deal area-of-effect damage, perfect for handling large groups of weaker foes. Each unit costs a different amount of gold and can be upgraded multiple times to increase its damage, range, or attack speed.
How Do Levels and Waves Work?
The game is structured into distinct levels, each with a unique path layout. At the start of a level, you have a small amount of gold to place your initial defenders.
Enemies attack in organized waves, with short pauses in between for you to build or upgrade.
Later waves in a level introduce tougher and faster monsters, requiring you to adapt your strategy. Defeating any enemy rewards you with gold, which is your main resource for bolstering your defenses during the battle.

Game Tips
Corner Placements - Put your ranged units like archers on corners. This gives them the longest possible time to attack enemies as they travel along two sides of the path. Early Game Spread - Don't save up for a single powerful unit at the start.
It's better to build several cheaper units to cover more of the path against the initial weak waves. Focus Your Upgrades - A single, fully upgraded tower at a key chokepoint is often more effective than several low-level towers spread out.
Identify the best spot and invest in it. Know the Next Wave - The game usually shows you what type of enemy is coming next. If you see fast-moving enemies, build more units; if you see heavily armored ones, upgrade your strongest hitters.
Sell and Replace - Don't be afraid to sell a poorly placed or obsolete unit to make room for a better one. You'll get some of your gold back to reinvest in a stronger defense.
