2020 Plus is a strategic block puzzle game where you place Tetris-like shapes onto a 10x10 grid. The goal is to complete full horizontal or vertical lines, which then clear from the board to free up space.
This browser-based HTML5 game challenges your spatial awareness and planning skills as you try to fit randomly generated pieces to achieve the highest score possible.
Scoring in 2020 Plus is straightforward. You receive a small number of points for every block you successfully place on the grid. The real points, however, come from clearing lines.
When you fill all ten squares in a horizontal row or a vertical column, that line disappears.
Clearing a single line provides a significant point bonus. If you can place a piece that completes multiple lines simultaneously-a combo-you'll earn an even greater bonus. The key to a high score is maximizing the number of lines you clear with each set of pieces.
While it shares similarities with games like Tetris, 2020 Plus has a key difference: the blocks don't fall. You are presented with three shapes at a time, and you can place them anywhere they fit on the board using your mouse.
There's no time pressure, making it a game of pure strategy rather than quick reflexes.
You must place all three given pieces before you receive a new set. The game ends when there is no legal move left for any of your three available blocks. This requires careful planning to ensure you don't paint yourself into a corner.
Success in 2020 Plus relies on thinking several moves ahead. Before placing the first piece from your set of three, consider where the other two might go.
Try to keep the center of the board relatively open to accommodate larger or more awkward shapes that may appear later.
One of the biggest pitfalls is creating single, isolated empty squares. These are incredibly difficult to fill and can quickly lead to a game over. Always prioritize moves that keep your board clean and create opportunities for multi-line clears.
You can play 2020 Plus for free directly in your web browser. There are no downloads or installations required.
Because it's an HTML5 game, it runs on most modern devices and isn't blocked by school or work networks, making it easy to enjoy a quick puzzle session whenever you want.
The goal in 2020 Plus is to get the highest score possible by clearing lines on a 10x10 grid. The game ends when you can no longer place any of the three available blocks on the board.
Use the mouse to control the game. Left click and hold on a block from the bottom panel to pick it up. Drag the block to an empty spot on the grid and release the left click to place it.
On a mobile device, you can touch and drag the pieces.
You are given three block shapes at a time. You must place all three shapes on the board before you are given a new set of three.
When you complete a full horizontal or vertical line of 10 squares, that line is cleared from the board, freeing up space.
Unlike classic falling-block games, the pieces in 2020 Plus do not rotate and there is no time limit. Success depends entirely on your ability to plan ahead and manage the available space on the grid.
Think in Threes - Before placing your first block, visualize where all three of your current pieces could fit on the board. Build from the Outside - Try to fill the grid from the corners and edges inward.
This leaves the center open for larger pieces. Avoid Single Holes - Leaving a single empty square is very risky, as only the 1x1 block can fill it. Try to keep your empty spaces grouped together.
Aim for Combos - Clearing multiple lines with one piece scores many more points. Look for opportunities to set up these multi-line clears. Don't Rush - There's no timer. Take your time to analyze the board and find the best possible placement for your pieces.
Manage Large Pieces - When you get a big piece like the 3x3 square or the long 5-block line, place it as soon as you can in an open area to avoid getting stuck with it later.
