Chaos Faction is a free online fighting game developed by Armor Games that is very reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. Like its Nintendo counterpart, the game takes place on platforms within different settings. Players must battle to push their opponents off these platforms and to their sudden death.
During the battle, random items and weapons are dropped from the sky that the player can use to their advantage, whether a first-aid kit to heal their character’s damage or a machine gun to blast their opponents to smithereens.
The gameplay is straightforward, utilizing the keyboard. The left arrow makes your character go left, while the right arrow makes him go right. The up arrow controls jumping, and pressing the down arrow shields you. Aside from that, all you need to know is that Z and X are your attack keys, and you’re ready to begin.
Game Modes
Within the Chaos Faction, there are three modes of gameplay: Campaign, Survival, and Death Match. The campaign mode is essentially story mode, where the player moves through the levels in a sequence, unlocking new weapons, characters, and even more levels. The goal of survival mode, alternatively, is to defeat as many opponents in a row as you can without falling to your death.
The game will store your survival record, so it’s always fun to go back and try to beat your score. Lastly, Death Match mode allows you to create your battle.
Death Match mode also allows you to select your battle setting and the associated special weapon that will be involved. For example, the swamp is the home to Slimy, and the associated weapon is the poison dart. So, staging a battle at the swamp automatically makes poison darts the special weapons involved.
Game Characters
The characters and the weapons of the Chaos Faction game are what make the game truly unique and fun to play. In the beginning, you get characters: The Cowboy, Gorilla Cowboy, Gorilla, and Mechalo Alien. You can customize specific features, however (such as eyes, hands, body, and feet).
As you move through the Campaign mode, more characters become unlocked.
All in all, Chaos Faction is a great fighting game if you’re looking for something a bit more humorous, and it’s an excellent match for any fan of Super Smash Bros. If you have a free moment, it may be worth your time.
